Xiaomi is one of India's top smartphone companies. It has achieved this by presenting several budget smartphones in the Today's Smartphone Market. This is why many handsets of the company are available at the same price. In many variants there is a difference of only Rs. 1,000. There is not much difference in the price of the top models of Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5. The truth is that the Redmi Note 5 is known in China as Redmi 5 Plus, because both phones are very close to each other. If you have to buy one of these phones and are unable to make the decision, then we are present in your service.
Redmi 5 vs Redmi Note 5

Camera and Display

First of all, we would say that Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5 look similar in appearance. Many people will not be able to tell the difference between these two. Redmi Note 5 is too big. It comes with 5.99 inches 18: 9 aspect ratios display. In Redmi 5 you will find a 5.7 inch fullview display. The resolution is also different. The screen of the Redmi 5 is HD + resolution and the full-HD +, you'll find in the Redmi Note 5. After using both phones, we would say that the Redmi Note 5 panel is slightly better than Redmi 5.

Both phones are similar in appearance to the back. Both have 12 megapixels primary camera. Talking about the difference, the Redmi 5 has a single LED flash and Redmi Note 5 comes with the Dual LED flash. Both phones have fingerprint sensors on the rear and they work fast. Due to being small, it is easy to access the Fingerprint Sensor of Redmi 5, while in Redmi Note 5 you have to have a little bit of your fingers in it.

Memory and Storage

There is no difference between the place and port of the buttons in both phones. The physical button is on the right side. At the same time, sim and MicroSD card slots on the left side Micro-USB ports are at the bottom and on the headphone socket top.

Photos taken from both phones are usually good. But there are some slight differences too. While taking the landscape shots we found that the Redmi Note 5 shot a little better, while the pictures in the Redmi 5 were not as accurate as the color. The performance of both smartphones in macros shot the same, it is difficult to find differences between them. Even in low light the output is almost the same, but we found that the Redmi Note 5 gave a better performance than the Redmi 5.

Looking at the specification, you will find that there are many differences in the case of hardware. Redmi Note 5 uses the dependable Snapdragon 635 processor. It has two variants - 64 GB storage with 32 GB of RAM and 4 GB of RAM with 3 GB RAM. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 450 processor has been used in Redmi 5. You have the option of choosing between 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage.

Android and MIUI Version

You will get a similar software experience in both phones. Both handsets work on the MUI 9.2 based on Android 7.1.2 NuG. Choose any phone in both, the user interface experience will be the same. However, the difference between the performance of both of our phones is surely visible. Whether the app is loading or you are navigating in the menu, Redmi Note 5 works faster than Redmi 5. The difference is not very much. But after placing the two phones together side by side, you will feel the same after using it.

Battery Life Comparison

Talk about Battery Life, the difference is too much. The big body goes in favor of the Redmi Note 5. This phone has 4000 mAh battery. Right, Redmi comes with a 5,300 mAh battery. The difference is also clear. In our video loop test, the radio note 5 battery lasted 15 hours and 10 minutes, while Redmi 5 died in 13 hours 36 minutes.

If you are in confusion with both phones, then consider these things. Both phones are as beautiful as each other and there is no difference between software. Faster processor, bigger, better resolution screen and superb battery goes in favor of Redmi Note 5. Given that there is a difference of just Rs 1,000 in the price of the same variant of both phones, the Redmi Note 5 wins. By the way, everything depends on your budget.
